Derek Mercer is Chairman of the Board of Talagy and an entrepreneur and investor who serves on the boards of several fast-growing companies including Cliqset, a development platform for social networking . Previously, Mercer was the chairman and CEO of Vurv Technology, a global provider of on-demand talent management software that he founded in 1996 and led through its growth to over $50 million in annual revenue, delivering software to more than 350 enterprise clients and nearly 2,000 small and medium businesses.
Delores Kesler is founder, director and chairman emeritus of Talagy and an executive, entrepreneur, and nationally recognized business and community leader with a rich history of success in the staffing industry. Kesler founded ATS Services in 1977 when she took out a loan for $10,000—a difficult challenge for a young, single mother during that time. She paid off the loan in six months and then led her company to great success, eventually forming a parent company that merged with three other staffing firms. The resulting business split into two ventures. The first became AccuStaff (now Modis/MPS Group) in the 1990s and the second became ATS Services (now Talagy). Kesler took AccuStaff public in 1994, becoming the first woman in Florida and one of the first women in the U.S. to lead an IPO, and ran the company as Chairman and CEO until she retired in 1997. She came out of retirement to serve as Chairman of the Board of ATS Services from 2007-2009 and also serves on the boards of several other companies and community organizations, including The St. Joe Company, PSS World Medical, and the Horatio Alger Foundation.
Amy McGeorge is president and CEO of Talagy. She is a results-driven executive with nearly 20 years of experience successfully delivering technology and services to the human resources industry. Previously, McGeorge was COO of Vurv Technology where she directed all aspects of the company’s global operations prior selling the company to Taleo (NASDAQ: TLEO), for nearly $130 million. Before Vurv, McGeorge was COO of Citigroup’s global unit for total employee benefit plan services. While there, McGeorge played a key role in fueling the company’s growth from $25 million in 1996 to nearly $500 million in 2005. Prior to Citigroup, McGeorge was a Managing Consultant at Hewitt Associates, the world’s largest multi-service provider of HR consulting and outsourcing. McGeorge has completed executive education at the Wharton School of Business, holds a Bachelors degree from Alma College and was awarded the Diplome de Langue from Alliance Francaise in Paris.
Jim Parrino is a Director of Talagy. A founding partner of CLB Partners, a consulting firm specializing in executive education, merger advisory, and capital formation, Parrino has over 20 years of experience in Corporate Finance Consulting. Parrino has advised several leading corporations including Bank of America, Chase Manhattan Bank, Citibank, Continental Bank, Home Depot, Siemens, EMC, Chrysler, and several others.
Roy Cannon is a Director of Talagy and an investor in CLB Partners. Cannon co-founded and was President of TRC Staffing in Atlanta, where he held leadership positions in finance, marketing and sales. During his tenure at TRC, the company grew from a start-up business to a company with more than $100 million in revenue, recognized three years in a row by Inc. Magazine as one of the “Inc. 500” fastest growing company in the U.S. Cannon sold his interest in 1995 and has since been an active board member and investor in a variety of ventures.
